Our team is collaborative, supportive, and committed to creating an exceptional patient experience from the moment someone walks through our doors.We are seeking a professional, dependable Receptionist / Medical Assistant whose primary focus will be front desk operations, with medical assistant experience highly preferred.Position OverviewThis role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and understands that the front desk sets the tone for the entire patient experience.The majority of responsibilities will be front-end/reception focused; however, candidates with prior medical assistant experience will be given strong preference and may assist clinically as needed.Primary Responsibilities (Front Desk Focus)<ul><li>Greet and check-in/check-out patients in a warm, professional manner</li><li>Answer multi-line phones and manage patient inquiries</li><li>Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently</li><li>Verify insurance eligibility and benefits</li><li>Collect copays and balances</li><li>Maintain accurate patient demographic information</li><li>Scan, upload, and organize patient documents</li><li>Coordinate communication between patients and providers</li><li>Maintain front office cleanliness and organization</li><li>Assist with prior authorizations and referrals when needed</li></ul>Medical Assistant Responsibilities (As Needed)<ul><li>Room patients and obtain vital signs</li><li>Update medical histories and medications</li><li>Assist providers during exams and procedures</li><li>Perform basic clinical tasks (injections, EKGs, POCT, etc., if certified)</li><li>Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supply inventory</li></ul>QualificationsRequired:<ul><li>Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office setting</li><li>Strong communication and customer service skills</li><li>Professional demeanor and appearance</li><li>Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinic environment</li><li>Basic knowledge of insurance verification and EMR systems</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA preferred but not required)</li><li>Experience in primary care</li><li>Familiarity with Athena, eClinicalWorks, or similar EMR systems</li></ul>Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:<ul><li>Is reliable and punctual</li><li>Takes initiative</li><li>Has strong attention to detail</li><li>Enjoys working as part of a team</li><li>Understands patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance</li><li>Wants to grow within a healthcare organization</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)</li><li>Supportive team environment</li><li>Opportunity for advancement</li><li>Paid time off (if applicable)</li><li>On-the-job training and continued learning</li></ul>Schedule<ul><li>Monday&ndash;Friday</li><li>No weekends</li></ul>If you are passionate about patient care and want to be part of a growing primary care practice that values professionalism, teamwork, and excellence, we encourage you to apply.Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hourWork Location: In person
