Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support and a passion for working with individuals with disabilities, including autism. This role involves developing and implementing training programs that enhance the skills of staff members, ensuring they provide high-quality care and support to clients. The Trainer will also focus on behavior management techniques and effective communication strategies to foster a positive environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and deliver training programs tailored to the needs of staff working with individuals with disabilities.</li><li>Provide direct support during training sessions, ensuring participants understand key concepts.</li><li>Collect data on training effectiveness and participant progress to inform future training initiatives.</li><li>Implement behavior management strategies that promote positive outcomes for clients.</li><li>Administer medication training as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.</li><li>Support home community care practices through effective training methodologies.</li><li>Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to integrate best practices into training programs.</li><li>Communicate regularly with team members to assess ongoing training needs and adjust programs accordingly.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong background in direct support, particularly for individuals with disabilities.</li><li>Experience in data collection and analysis related to training effectiveness.</li><li>Knowledge of behavior management techniques applicable in various settings.</li><li>Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum.</li><li>Ability to administer medication safely and train others in proper procedures.</li><li>Experience in home community care settings is a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and engage participants.</li><li>A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes learning and growth for all individuals involved.</li></ul>Job Type: ContractPay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Great Neck, NY 11021
