This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families while working in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.Duties<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for perinatal patients, including screening for depression, anxiety, trauma, and other related conditions.</li><li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing psychotherapy, medication management, and other evidence-based interventions tailored to perinatal needs.</li><li>Prescribe appropriate medications following clinical guidelines and ensure thorough patient education on medication use, side effects, and safety considerations during pregnancy and postpartum.</li><li>Collaborate closely with therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care for patients.</li><li>Provide telehealth consultations to increase access to mental health services for perinatal individuals in diverse settings.</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid and unrestricted licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Physician Assistant (PA), or Psychiatrist with certification in psychiatric prescribing in the state of Colorado.</li><li>Demonstrated experience working with pregnant and postpartum populations, including familiarity with ART.</li><li>Strong knowledge of mental health conditions prevalent during the perinatal period such as depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and mood disorders.</li><li>Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management.</li><li>Experience prescribing medications including antidepressants, anxiolytics, or other psychotropics with an understanding of teratogenic risks and safety protocols.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about treatment options and foster collaborative relationships with healthcare teams.</li><li>Ability to work independently while also thriving within a multidisciplinary team environment dedicated to holistic patient care.</li><li>This role is ideal for motivated healthcare professionals eager to advance perinatal mental health services through innovative practices and compassionate patient engagement.
