Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Supervisor to lead our security team in safeguarding our personnel, customers, facilities and assets. This role involves overseeing daily security operations, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring a secure environment for all customers and tenants. Applicants must have a valid CT Guard Card.Responsibilities<ul><li>Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel to ensure effective coverage across all areas of the facility.</li><li>Oversee surveillance operations using CCTV systems to monitor premises, identify potential threats.</li><li>Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe environment for employees, visitors, and assets.</li><li>Conduct regular foot patrols and inspections of the premises to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards. This post involves a significant amount of walking throughout the shift.</li><li>Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate incidents.</li><li>Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical or law enforcement requests.</li><li>Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records to ensure accurate documentation of daily activities and incidents.</li><li>Training new security staff.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Must have a valid CT Guard Card.</li><li>Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; additional certifications such as CCTV operation or loss prevention are a plus.</li><li>Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.</li><li>Strong leadership qualities with experience supervising a small team.</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse groups including law enforcement agencies when necessary.</li><li>Must be available to work weekends.</li></ul>Pay: $19.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>When does your CT state guard card expire?</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>CT Guard Card (Required)</li></ul>Shift availability:<ul><li>Night Shift (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
