Small litigation firm looking for part time help. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment and gain hands-on experience in litigation. You will work directly with clients, manage case files, and assist in preparing for court appearances and trials.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.</li><li>Assist with case preparation, including organizing evidence and exhibits.</li><li>Manage and maintain case files, including electronic filing and document management.</li><li>Schedule client meetings, depositions, and court hearings.</li><li>Conduct legal research as needed.</li><li>Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.</li><li>Prepare and file court documents and ensure deadlines are met.</li><li>Manage attorney calendars and reminders for important deadlines.</li><li>Handle general office duties such as answering phones, filing, and faxing.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>1-2 years of experience in a litigation setting (preferred).</li><li>Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and filing systems.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, CLIO) and legal research tools.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.</li></ul>Pay will be commensurate with the experience, skills, and qualifications that the candidate brings to the position.Job Type: Part-timePay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Free parking</li><li>Work from home</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Richmond, VA 23230 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Richmond, VA 23230
