This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the food and beverage industry while working in a lively, fast-paced setting.Duties<ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair, utilizing equipment such as espresso machines and coffee brewers.</li><li>Take customer orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and efficient transactions.</li><li>Serve food items including pastries, sandwiches, and snacks while maintaining high standards of food safety and handling procedures.</li><li>Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests.</li><li>Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for transactions.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the caf&eacute; area, including food preparation stations, tables, and service counters.</li><li>Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are upheld at all times.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within caf&eacute;s or restaurants; coffee experience is highly valued.</li><li>Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.</li><li>Effective time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality service.</li><li>Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in the food industry.</li><li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
