Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair, utilizing equipment such as espresso machines and coffee brewers.
• Take customer orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and efficient transactions.
• Serve food items including pastries, sandwiches, and snacks while maintaining high standards of food safety and handling procedures.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, tables, and service counters.
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are upheld at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within cafés or restaurants; coffee experience is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Effective time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality service.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in the food industry.
