<b>Job Summary</b><br>
The Graduate Admissions Evaluator is essential to the Graduate School&rsquo;s goal of increasing graduate enrollment by recruiting and admitting high-caliber students commensurate with USM&rsquo;s R1 research status. This individual counsels prospective and active applicants providing assistance with their questions about programs, the university, and use of the application software. Moreover, they must be able to interpret documents and make critical, independent decisions about an applicant&rsquo;s qualifications for admission. Their work requires attention to detail, reasoning skills, and accuracy so applicants receive timely information and assistance, making them more likely to accept an offer of admission and enroll at our institution.<br>
<br>
<b>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Interprets the eligibility of graduate applicants for admission into graduate programs by demonstrating a deep understanding of policies regarding admissions requirements of both the Graduate School and specific programs.</li><li>
Determines the eligibility of graduate applicants for graduate programs by ensuring admissions requirements of both the Graduate School and specific programs are met.</li><li>
Evaluates the program&rsquo;s decision to deny or admit with conditional or regular status and makes the final decision on whether the applicant is eligible for the selected admission status.</li><li>
Advises applicants regarding use of application software, admission and application requirements and process, and application status and completion of the application.
</li><li>Communicates with graduate coordinators and other campus partners regarding admissions-related queries. Shares knowledge and advice regarding graduate school admissions processes with campus community and participates in on-campus recruitment and informational events.</li><li>
Assesses new student accounts for post-admissions tasks and advises new admits on next steps.</li><li>
Helps train new employees, graduate assistants, and student workers on use of computer systems.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><br>

Minimum Qualifications</b><br>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university and 1 year of experience in higher education administrative support, admissions counseling, communication, information and records management, customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.<br>

<b>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</b></div><div><ul><li>
Technology: Proficiency or ability to learn complex software systems including the University&rsquo;s client relations manager (CRM), Student Information System (SIS), and imaging software. User knowledge of MicroSoft Office Suite.</li><li>
Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including correct use of grammar; demonstrated editing, proofing and writing experience; ability to write clear and concise correspondence.</li><li>
Relationship Management:Ability to interact in a professional manner with faculty, students, and staff; strong customer service skills with demonstrated commitment to resolving problems in a positive manner; willingness to participate in open and ongoing dialog with supervisor and respond positively to constructive criticism and instruction; ability to work independently as well as in teams.</li><li>

<b>Job Summary</b><br>
The Coordinator of Recruitment and Strategic Communication directs all Honors College recruitment efforts and admissions processes, manages the Honors College communication plan and strategic outreach, and coordinates activities among the Honors College, the Office of Admissions, and other campus units. The Coordinator plans, coordinates, and participates in special events, services, and activities in service of the College&rsquo;s recruitment goals.<br>
<br>
<b>Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Directs all Honors College recruitment activities, representing the College at recruitment events on and off campus and promoting the College at community/junior colleges.</li><li>
Leads and trains the student recruitment team in collaboration with the Advisor for the Honors College Ambassadors.</li><li>
Leads all communications initiatives related to recruitment (development and design of promotional materials, website and social media content, outreach to high ability student populations, high school counselors, etc).</li><li>
Maintains, tracks, and analyzes Honors College recruitment data in the University&rsquo;s enrollment management system.</li><li>
Coordinates and plans special recruitment events such as Black and Gold Day, Honors Day, Choose Honors, etc., collaborating with the Office of Admissions and other campus units as appropriate.
</li><li>Oversees Honors admissions processes, to include such activities as: developing application materials, preparing applications for review, coordinating review and decision-making processes, and planning yield activities for admitted students.</li><li>
Designs and executes workshops for prospective Honors students and for Honors reviewers.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p>

Minimum Qualifications</b><br>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in recruitment, public relations, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Valid driver&rsquo;s license is required.<br>

<b>Job Summary</b><br>
This position is for Academic, Operational, and Budgetary Support of the School Director, faculty, staff and students. This position is essential as it is the first point of contact for anyone within the School, public and university community.<br>
<br>
<b>Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
Acts as academic support for the School to include, but not limited to, corresponding with prospective students, coordinating on-campus student visits, preparing and sending necessary student forms, maintaining appropriate student files and working with faculty, staff, students and university community to assure student success.</li><li>
Assists with preparation of and inputs course schedule, room reservations and student scheduling needs. Manages all class enrollment permissions. Oversees textbook ordering. Organizes summer programs, including conferences.</li><li>
Develop and monitor the school&rsquo;s annual operating budgets through consultation with School Director, including planning and preparing justification statements for budget requests. Prepare analysis of budget data for the director and assure that expenditures stay within the established budget for the school; monitors personnel accounts. Maintain and reconciles all school budgets in a timely/monthly manner. Assist with Course Fee Audits. Assist university units and external agencies with budget requests. Prepare budgetary forms, and initiate processes in SOARFIN, obtain appropriate signatures and route to appropriate entity. (i.e. Purchase Orders, Permission to Travel, Reimbursement Voucher, Interdepartmental Invoices etc.). Initiates all Foundation non-scholarship withdrawal requests.</li><li>
Serves as facility and inventory point of contact. Maintain and track school inventory. Conduct regular inventory audits. Assist in state mandated audits. Order course and lab supplies and coordinate delivery, as requested. Coordinate lab maintenance with off-campus technicians and appropriate lab coordinator or faculty. Assist with lab clean-out. Process necessary forms for school maintenance, supply purchases, awards, etc. through the University and Foundation. Serve as building liaison, enters work orders and interacts with physical plant on building maintenance and service.</li><li>
Manage personnel actions under supervision of director, including creating of job requisitions, onboarding and off-boarding of staff, faculty, graduate assistants, temporary non-students. Prepare appropriate HR hiring paperwork for faculty, staff, adjuncts, student employees, etc. Prepares credentialing paperwork for instructors. Hires, assigns duties, and supervises the work of student employees. Prepare semesterly paperwork for Graduate school, include tuition waiver requests, offer letters, and Personnel Action Forms.</li><li>
Provide administrative support for the Director including, but not limited to: gathering, analyzing, and/or inputting data; event planning and public relations; website management, calendar/scheduling and facilities reservations; correspondence, preparing reports for accreditation and funding agencies.</li><li>
Serves as back-up and support to fill in as needed by successfully completing cross training on all job duties and responsibilities outlined in this position; performs other duties as assigned by the School Director.</li></ul><p></p>

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of office experience &ndash; OR- an equivalent combination of education and experience.<br>
