UPS Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.The ideal candidate has previous Notary Certification License, retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in Notary and the UPS customers and telephone inquiries</li><li>Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership</li><li>Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions</li><li>Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends</li><li>Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others</li><li>Maintains a clean and safe working environment</li><li>Maintains strong attention to detail when proofing all materials</li><li>Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience</li><li>Understands and fulfills the needs of walk-in customers and telephone/email inquiries</li><li>May open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting, etc.</li><li>Operates and maintains print and finishing equipment</li><li>Helps customers with expert boxing and packaging, selling the appropriate products to ship materials safely and efficiently</li><li>Provides prompt, efficient shipping expertise</li><li>Takes ownership of any shipping problems and offers viable solutions</li><li>Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and properly cushioning contents</li><li>Calls customers to arrange pickup of products</li><li>Checks in inventory</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required</li><li>Retail/customer service experience</li><li>Good communication and people skills</li><li>Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites</li><li>Outstanding phone skills</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math</li><li>Prompt, reliable, and responsible</li><li>Able to lift 40+ pounds</li><li>Willing and able to work 25 to 30 hours per week for a 6-day work week</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>One year of customer service experience required (more preferred)</li><li>Able to cross sell and up sell products and services</li><li>Detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task</li><li>Outstanding phone skills</li></ul>BENEFITS<ul><li>Casual and creative work environment</li><li>$5 per Notary Customer incentive Bonus</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have experience in Public Notary Services and holding a valid PA Notary License?</li></ul>Work Location: In person
