Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with the latest products
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing stockrooms, and conducting stock counts
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with proper phone etiquette and clear communication skills
• Support supervising staff during busy periods or when needed to ensure smooth store operations

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store environment
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to assist in team coordination
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
• Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
• Knowledge of merchandising principles to create appealing product displays and optimize sales space
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Basic math skills for everyday retail tasks such as making change or calculating totals
• Experience with grocery store operations is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
