Full Time | Day | 8am-4pm
(based on experience and shift differential)

What will I do as a Respiratory Therapist for The Wesley Community?<ul><li>
Assess Residents' respiratory status, including breath sounds, oxygen saturation, and work of breathing.</li><li>
Administer respiratory therapies such as:<ul><li>
Oxygen therapy</li><li>
Aerosolized medications (nebulizers, inhalers)</li><li>
Tracheostomy care and suctioning</li><li>
CPAP/BiPAP therapy</li></ul></li><li>
Monitor and document residents' responses to respiratory treatments.</li><li>
Respond to respiratory emergencies and changes in resident conditions.</li><li>
Make appropriate reports to the Unit Coordinator, Charge Nurse or Supervisor as required or necessary.</li><li>
Attend unit meetings</li></ul> 
Respiratory Therapist Requirements:<ul><li>
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.</li><li>
Must have current NYS licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT as required by state regulations).</li><li>
Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred, if applicable).</li><li>
Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric care preferred.</li><li>
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.</li></ul>
