Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)Company: Thomas Medical: Concierge Medicine &amp; AestheticsLocation: Southern Pines, NCPosition OverviewThomas Medical is a busy, patient-centered functional medicine practice seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This is a blended role that is primarily clinical with additional front-office clerical support. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care while helping ensure smooth daily operations in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Clinical Duties (Primary Focus):</li></ul><ul><li>Room patients, obtain vital signs, and perform initial patient assessments.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist providers with exams, procedures, and minor treatments.</li></ul><ul><li>Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and other in-house clinical tasks as needed.</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).</li></ul><ul><li>Clerical / Administrative Duties:</li></ul><ul><li>Perform patient check-in and check-out.</li></ul><ul><li>Collect payments, post charges, and handle basic billing inquiries.</li></ul><ul><li>Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient communications.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with general office tasks to support efficient clinic flow.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and team members.</li></ul><ul><li>Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.</li></ul><ul><li>Minimum 1&ndash;2 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience in functional, integrative, or primary care medicine is a plus.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, personable demeanor.</li></ul><ul><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Genuine interest in functional medicine and supporting whole-person health.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive compensation based on experience.</li></ul><ul><li>Supportive team environment in a growing functional medicine practice.</li></ul><ul><li>Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education.</li></ul>This is a great opportunity for a motivated CMA who enjoys both direct patient care and contributing to the overall success of a thriving medical clinic.If interested, please send your resume and a brief note about why you&rsquo;d be a great fit for our team to thomasmjulie@gmail.comWe look forward to hearing from you!Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Work Location: In person
