About the RoleTidal Build is a growing construction company delivering quality residential and commercial projects throughout the region. We're looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated Part-Time Bookkeeper with construction industry experience to join our team. This is a flexible hybrid role &mdash; you'll split your time between working remotely and visiting our office, for a total of 20 hours per week.If you thrive in a fast-paced construction environment, love keeping the books clean, and want a role that fits around your schedule &mdash; we'd love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for active construction projects</li><li>Process subcontractor invoices, job cost coding, and purchase orders</li><li>Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a weekly basis</li><li>Maintain accurate job cost tracking and project budget reports</li><li>Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll using construction payroll software</li><li>Generate WIP (Work-in-Progress) reports and assist with monthly financial close</li><li>Track lien waivers, certificates of insurance, and vendor compliance documents</li><li>Assist with AIA billing, draw requests, and owner requisitions</li><li>Support the project management team with budget variance analysis</li><li>Coordinate with the CPA/accountant for quarterly and year-end filings</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction or a related trade industry</li><li>Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) &mdash; QuickBooks certification a plus</li><li>Familiarity with construction accounting software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore, Sage) preferred</li><li>Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, and project-based accounting</li><li>Experience processing certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting is a plus</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Strong communication skills to coordinate with project managers, vendors, and ownership</li></ul>Why Tidal Build?<ul><li>Flexible hybrid schedule designed to fit your life &mdash; work from home and check in at the office</li><li>Competitive hourly starting rate of $30/hr &mdash; paid weekly</li><li>Collaborative, tight-knit team that values accuracy and accountability</li><li>Consistent, stable part-time hours with potential to grow alongside the company</li><li>Meaningful work &mdash; your numbers directly support real projects being built in our community</li></ul>Tidal Build is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
