TLC Adventures in Child Care

A Summer Camp Staff Member ensures the safety, well-being, and engagement of children ages 5&ndash;12 by supervising activities, leading games, and mentoring youth. They create a positive, fun environment while managing daily schedules, maintaining safety protocols, and communicating with staff and parents. Key roles include facilitating activities, fostering social development, and ensuring child safety.<ul><li>Activity Leadership: Plan, lead, and participate in camp activities such as arts &amp; crafts, field trips, water play, and sports.</li><li>Mentorship &amp; Care: Act as a positive role model, guiding children in social interaction, emotional growth, and conflict resolution.</li><li>Record Keeping: Manage attendance, keep track of equipment, and ensure that camper areas are kept clean and organized.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Experience: Previous experience working with children (e.g., childcare, tutoring, coaching) is highly valued.</li><li>Leadership &amp; Patience: Ability to lead groups, manage challenging behavior, and provide consistent, patient care.</li><li>Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff members.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
