Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Handyman and Framer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including new construction, interior and exterior remodeling/renovation, residential and some commercial projects, general carpentry, painting, basic landscaping, light masonry work, and assorted small jobs. (We are not hiring for plumbing or electrical work; these are subcontracted already.)Requirements:<ul><li>1099 documentation</li><li>Proof of U.S. citizenship</li><li>Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and reliable personal vehicle</li><li>Personal smartphone for communication and scheduling</li><li>Basic set of practical hand and power tools</li><li>Ability to lift and carry materials up to 65 lbs</li></ul>Desired Skills &ndash; Handyman:<ul><li>Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic measurements accurately</li><li>Comfortable and safe use of power tools</li><li>Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to find creative, practical solutions</li><li>Attention to detail and ability to match existing finishes, colors, and styles</li><li>Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer‑service‑oriented attitude when working in occupied homes</li></ul>Desired Skills &ndash; Framer:<ul><li>Experience in residential framing for both remodeling projects and new‑construction homes (walls, floors, and roofs)</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and basic construction sketches</li><li>Understanding of basic building codes, structural requirements, and safe framing practices</li><li>Experience installing floor joists, wall studs, headers, rafters, and trusses</li><li>Ability to lay out and construct partitions, soffits, and minor structural upgrades during remodels</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise measurements and layout instructions</li></ul>Other Things You Should Know:<ul><li>You will be required to complete a W‑9 form upon hiring</li><li>If your pay is hourly, you will be responsible for accurately documenting your hours</li><li>Pay is negotiable; starting pay is based on experience, knowledge, and work ethic</li><li>We accept bids on individual jobs and are open to working with you to agree on a fair price</li><li>We expect you to keep your work areas clean and tidy, especially when working in occupied residential homes</li></ul>Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>On-the-job training</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Oshkosh, WI 54902 (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
