Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Handyman and Framer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including new construction, interior and exterior remodeling/renovation, residential and some commercial projects, general carpentry, painting, basic landscaping, light masonry work, and assorted small jobs. (We are not hiring for plumbing or electrical work; these are subcontracted already.)
Requirements:
- 1099 documentation
- Proof of U.S. citizenship
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
- Personal smartphone for communication and scheduling
- Basic set of practical hand and power tools
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 65 lbs
Desired Skills – Handyman:
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic measurements accurately
- Comfortable and safe use of power tools
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to find creative, practical solutions
- Attention to detail and ability to match existing finishes, colors, and styles
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer‑service‑oriented attitude when working in occupied homes
Desired Skills – Framer:
- Experience in residential framing for both remodeling projects and new‑construction homes (walls, floors, and roofs)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and basic construction sketches
- Understanding of basic building codes, structural requirements, and safe framing practices
- Experience installing floor joists, wall studs, headers, rafters, and trusses
- Ability to lay out and construct partitions, soffits, and minor structural upgrades during remodels
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise measurements and layout instructions
Other Things You Should Know:
- You will be required to complete a W‑9 form upon hiring
- If your pay is hourly, you will be responsible for accurately documenting your hours
- Pay is negotiable; starting pay is based on experience, knowledge, and work ethic
- We accept bids on individual jobs and are open to working with you to agree on a fair price
- We expect you to keep your work areas clean and tidy, especially when working in occupied residential homes
Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour
