Electrical Engineer (Power Transmission Projects)

Analyze suppliers in order to select the appropriate provider who is able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing.Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality. Define and maintain documented category and supplier strategies using market and competitive data.Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedules to ensure on-time deliveries of final products.Meet with potential suppliers to compare products, prices, and lease terms. Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies in order to meet cost savings targets.Review and manage the supplier base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy; coordinate with vendors on continuous quality improvement. Perform regular performance review with suppliers to stimulate continuous improvements.Create monthly performance reviews and reports focusing on overall sourcing requirements. Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions. Adopt appropriate supplier management methodologies and procurement strategies in purchasing to secure better prices.Prepare and develop comprehensive reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) as advised by the management. Perform any other related tasks assigned as per the directives of the Procurement Manager.

Associate Procurement Engineer

Job PurposeThe Tendering Engineer will be responsible for preparation of the bids and proposals as per requirement of the client and instruction from the HODs of the Commercial and Engineering department.Roles &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>Review tender documents to ensure compliance with technical and commercial requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to finalize bids.</li><li>Prepare technical submissions, clarifications, and client queries.</li><li>Prepare pre-tender clarifications on scope of works and list out missing documents, specifications if any.</li><li>Finalize pre-tender clarifications in coordination with engineering team and submit to client in coordination with the commercial team.</li><li>Follow up engineering team to prepare base design drawings such as overall SLD and substation layout.</li><li>Ensure compliance to clients technical specifications for bid preparation.</li><li>Prepare general bid documents such as project execution strategy, manpower histogram, etc.</li><li>Regular follow up with procurement team for getting proposals from the vendors / suppliers / sub-contractors.</li><li>Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects based on drawings, specifications, and RFQs.</li><li>Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and competitive pricing strategies.</li><li>Maintain updated supplier and sub-contractor databases for pricing in coordination with procurement team.</li><li>Ensure all tender documentation is submitted on time and in correct format in coordination with commercial team.</li><li>Post bid clarifications and other activities such as revisiting the cost and optimize etc. until the result of the bid is announced by the client.</li><li>Perform any other related tasks assigned as per the directives of the Tendering Manager, Senior Group Engineering Manager and the HOD (Engineering).</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; ExperienceEducational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.Experience<ul><li>A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience as a Tendering Engineer, preferably, in the UAE substation (PT&amp;D) construction industry in the GCC/UAE.</li><li>Experience in tendering works for 400kV substation projects (TAQA, DEWA, EtihadWE) or mixed-use development projects is an advantage.</li><li>Familiar with local authority regulations and project approval processes.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Knowledge<ul><li>Ability to interpret SLD, Substation Layouts, Equipment Outline, GA and schematic drawings and project specifications.</li><li>Ability to prepare Project Schedule in MS Project or Primavera in coordination with engineering team.</li><li>Proficient with MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and basic CAD drawing review.</li><li>Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong communication and technical skills with the ability to present complex, technical information to a wide audience.</li></ul>

 Trouble shooting faults

 Carry out coordinate test and commission activities for protection (i.e., busbar protection, 3 Circuit Breaker protection, bay protection, OHL main-1 &amp; Main -2 protection, generator protection and couple TR protection etc.).

 Prepare and modify site test report for protection &amp; control Panel and follow up with client for approval.

 Responsible to arrange and open the necessary PTW (permit to work).

 Manage subcontractor teams on daily basis.

 Coordinate with MEW Site engineer and site representative on daily basis .

 Coordinate with MEW safety and security department for Firefighting isolation and normalization on daily basis.
