Role Overview You are the operational backbone of a fast-growing Sacramento artificial turf company. You keep projects moving, customers informed, and the owner focused on sales.Core ResponsibilitiesPayroll &amp; Time Tracking<ul><li>Administer employee time tracking through Workforce by QuickBooks (Intuit)</li><li>Review and approve timesheets weekly before payroll runs</li><li>Process payroll through QuickBooks; flag discrepancies to owner</li><li>Manage certified payroll reporting for any public works / prevailing wage jobs</li></ul>Financial &amp; Admin<ul><li>Job costing &mdash; track materials and labor against project budgets</li><li>Receipts management and expense categorization in QuickBooks</li><li>Assist with insurance renewals, workers comp audits, and policy management</li></ul>HR &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Maintain employee training certifications</li><li>Assist with onboarding new hires (I-9, W-4, Workforce setup)</li><li>Maintain DIR registration and licensing compliance calendar</li></ul>Scheduling &amp; Customer Communications (in the near future)<ul><li>Manage all inbound leads and appointment scheduling</li><li>Send and track the 14-page home improvement contracts via DocuSign</li><li>Handle customer follow-up from signed quote through project completion</li><li>Coordinate crew schedules with foreman</li></ul>Tools You'll Use Daily<ul><li>QuickBooks Online + Workforce by Intuit (time tracking)</li><li>Slack (primary communication with owner)</li><li>Google Drive / Docs</li><li>DocuSign or similar e-signature platform</li><li>Square / Stripe (payment reference)</li></ul>What We're Looking For<ul><li>2+ years in admin, bookkeeping, or operations &mdash; home services industry a plus</li><li>Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong follow-through</li><li>Discretion &mdash; you'll handle financial and customer data</li><li>Trades experience preferred</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>$22 - $24 / hr based on experience</li><li>Peak season stipend available (April&ndash;September)</li><li>Flexible hours, fully remote</li></ul>Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hourExpected hours: 5.0 &ndash; 25.0 per weekApplication Question(s):<ul><li>How many years of payroll experience do you have?</li><li>How many years of job costing do you have? </li><li>How many years working for a construction / trades company do you have?</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Associate (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Administrative: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Sacramento, CA (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
