This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting.Responsibilities<ul><li>Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely</li><li>Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demonstrations when needed</li><li>Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed</li><li>Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales and customer satisfaction</li><li>Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring efficient merchandising and stocking of shelves</li><li>Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy</li><li>Support inventory management through stock replenishment, merchandising, and product displays</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures in a retail or grocery store environment</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in multiple languages (bilingual preferred)</li><li>Proven ability to upsell products and enhance customer experience through product demos and personalized service</li><li>Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings</li><li>Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction balancing</li><li>Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally over the phone</li><li>Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for sales transactions and inventory counts</li><li>Familiarity with grocery store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and inventory management</li></ul>This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail career while delivering outstanding service.
