Key Roles &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>Source and purchase a wide range of seafood (domestic and imported), ensuring quality, price, and availability meet company standards.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fisherman, and processors.</li><li>Monitor seafood market trends, pricing, and availability daily.</li><li>Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with vendors.</li><li>Coordinate with sales team and warehouse team regarding inventory, to ensure optimal stock levels and customer fulfilment.</li><li>Maintain accurate purchase records and inventory tracking.</li><li>Ensure all products meet food safety, regulatory and sustainability standards.</li><li>Respond to urgent purchasing needs and adapt quickly to changes in supply or demand.</li><li>Occasional pick-up of products.</li></ul>Qualifications&#8239;<ul><li>2-5 years of experience in seafood purchasing, seafood sales, or related roles in the seafood industry.&#8239;&#8239;</li><li>&#8239;Strong understanding of seafood species, seasonality, handling, and quality standards.&#8239;&#8239;</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management.&#8239;&#8239;</li><li>Must be detailed oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.&#8239;&#8239;</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast demand and manage inventory effectively.&#8239;&#8239;</li><li>Experience with procurement or inventory management software is a huge plus.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
