Core Responsibilities&middot; Prescription Review &amp; Dispensing:<ul><li>Review and verify physician orders for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions or allergies.</li><li>Monitor patient drug charts and manage complex treatment regimens.</li><li>Perform Medication Reconciliation by reviewing a patient&rsquo;s full medication history to ensure safety during transitions of care.</li></ul>&middot; Patient Counseling: Educate patients on correct medication usage, possible side effects, and storage requirements.&middot; Medicine Management: Recommend optimal administration routes (e.g., tablets vs. injections) and assist in clinical decision-making with doctors and nurses.&middot; Inventory &amp; Store Management: Manage the procurement and storage of pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring compliance with Schedule-P of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules (1945) and maintaining &quot;FEFO&quot; (First Expiry, First Out) systems.&middot; Narcotics &amp; Controlled Substances: Maintain strict records and secure custody (lock and key) for Schedule X drugs and poisons.&middot; Clinical Duties: Participate in ward rounds with doctors to recommend optimal administration routes and cost-effective alternatives.o Monitor drug efficacy and report Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs).o Provide specialized support in intensive care (ICU), oncology, and emergency units.&middot; Quality Assurance: Ensure the identity, strength, and purity of medications through rigorous quality control procedures.&middot; Serves patients by preparing medications, giving pharmacological information to multidisciplinary health care team, and monitoring patient drug therapies.&middot; Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.&middot; Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.&middot; Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.&middot; Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians&rsquo; workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.&middot; Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and counseling patients on drug therapies.&middot; Develops hospital staff&rsquo;s pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs and training pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and health care professionals.&middot; Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration by monitoring nursing unit inspection.&middot; Maintains records for controlled substances and removes outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.&middot; Supervises the work results of support personnel.&middot; Maintains current registration, studies existing and new legislation, anticipates legislation, and advises management on needed actions.&middot; Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.&middot; Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.&middot; Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Pharmacist Qualifications / Skills:Skills Required:Educational &amp; Legal Requirements&middot; Qualification: Minimum of a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a PCI-recognized institution.&middot; Licensure: Mandatory registration with the Karnataka State Pharmacy Council to legally practice in Karnataka.Skill Set: Proficiency in pharmaceutical software, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills in both English and local languages.&middot; Analyzing information&middot; Administering medication&middot; Judgment&middot; Verbal communication&middot; FDA health regulations&middot; Pharmacology&middot; Managing processes&middot; Legal compliance&middot; Productivity&middot; Quality focus&middot; Attention to detailJob Types: Full-time, FresherPay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
