As a Sushi Server, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, managing food and beverage orders efficiently, and creating a memorable atmosphere that celebrates authentic Japanese flavors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within the food industry while showcasing your hospitality skills.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, highlighting sushi options and specials to enhance their dining experience</li><li>Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery</li><li>Serve sushi, drinks, and other menu items with precision, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality</li><li>Upsell menu items including specialty rolls, beverages, and spirits to maximize sales opportunities</li><li>Process cash transactions and credit card payments efficiently while handling cash safely and accurately</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures</li><li>Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly to accommodate incoming guests, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in fine dining or sushi establishments</li><li>Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales transactions</li><li>Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally</li><li>Knowledge of beverage service including wine, spirits, cocktails, and drink pairing recommendations</li><li>Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours</li><li>Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs seamlessly</li><li>Experience with food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a lively, energetic attitude</li></ul>Join us in creating memorable moments for our guests through exceptional sushi service!
