Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, highlighting sushi options and specials to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Serve sushi, drinks, and other menu items with precision, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items including specialty rolls, beverages, and spirits to maximize sales opportunities
• Process cash transactions and credit card payments efficiently while handling cash safely and accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly to accommodate incoming guests, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in fine dining or sushi establishments
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales transactions
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
• Knowledge of beverage service including wine, spirits, cocktails, and drink pairing recommendations
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs seamlessly
• Experience with food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a lively, energetic attitude
