CPA / Financial Operations Manager (Commercial Plaza)Location: Chester, SC (hybrid or remote with periodic on-site review)Type: Part-Time or Contract (with potential to expand)OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented licensed/bonded Bookkeeper to oversee financial operations for a growing commercial/residential/personal portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who goes beyond basic data entry&mdash;someone who can bring clarity, structure, and real-time visibility to all financial activity.The right candidate will ensure that all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and clearly communicated, enabling ownership to make informed, confident decisions.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage all bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks</li><li>Track and reconcile multiple income streams (tenant rent, CAM, additional revenue channels)</li><li>Monitor and categorize all expenses and outgoing payments</li><li>Maintain clean, accurate, and audit-ready financial records</li><li>Produce monthly Profit &amp; Loss (P&amp;L) statements</li><li>Generate additional financial reports as needed (cash flow, expense summaries, etc.)</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms</li><li>Coordinate with vendors, tenants, and internal stakeholders on billing and payments</li><li>Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues</li><li>Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and payment tracking</li></ul>Communication &amp; Reporting Expectations<ul><li>Provide regular financial updates (weekly or biweekly summaries)</li><li>Deliver clear, simplified reporting so ownership always understands:</li><li>Current cash position</li><li>Outstanding receivables/payables</li><li>Monthly performance trends</li><li>Serve as a trusted financial point of contact, ensuring nothing &ldquo;falls through the cracks&rdquo;</li><li>Flag concerns early and offer solutions, not just reports</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Licensed and bonded bookkeeping (commercial real estate experience a plus)</li><li>Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (required)</li><li>Experience managing multiple financial inputs and outputs simultaneously</li><li>Ability to produce and interpret P&amp;L reports</li><li>Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills</li><li>High level of organization and attention to detail</li><li>Clear, proactive communicator (this is critical)</li><li>Ability to work independently and bring structure to systems</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking ForThis role is not just about maintaining books&mdash;it&rsquo;s about creating clarity and control.We are looking for someone who:<ul><li>Takes ownership of the full financial picture</li><li>Communicates clearly and consistently</li><li>Anticipates needs rather than reacting to issues</li><li>Brings order to complexity</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Competitive hourly or monthly retainer (based on experience and scope)</li><li>Opportunity for expanded role as portfolio grows</li></ul>To ApplyPlease submit:<ul><li>Resume</li><li>Brief summary of your experience with QuickBooks and financial reporting</li><li>Example of a report or dashboard you&rsquo;ve created</li></ul>Work Location: In person
