Essential Duties and Responsibilities
<ul><li>
Generates purchase orders for raw materials using MRP system, forecasting and input from other departments including Sales and R&amp;D Lab</li><li>
Generates production orders for finished goods using MRP system, forecasting and input from other departments including Sales and Production</li><li>
Develop customer demand requirements using forecasting, MRP system and sales team input</li><li>
Monitor a very dynamic supply chain to ensure that incoming raw material orders are arriving on time and in the appropriate quantity</li><li>
Monitor existing production orders to ensure that their quantity and timing are appropriate to meet customer demands, Inventory targets and raw materials availability</li><li>
Supports the procurement of goods and services by assisting with supplier research, preparing purchase orders, and maintaining procurement records</li><li>
Work with cross-functional departments to understand their purchasing requirements and align them with procurement strategies</li><li>
Research forecasted demand schedules of finished goods for upcoming raw material needs</li><li>
Researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future buying trends</li><li>
Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and make recommendations to acquire additional supplies as needed</li><li>
Participates in or leads periodic forecasting/planning meetings with sales, customer service, production, and other related departments</li><li>
Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution</li><li>
Tracks product flow from origin to delivery via web-based logistics systems and other appropriate methods of monitoring inventory and shipment vehicles</li><li>
Using analytical methods identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize supply chain efficiency while minimizing costs</li><li>
Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, as directed</li><li>
Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of management</li><li>
Provides inventory reports, including reconciliation, as directed</li><li>
Performs other related duties as requested.</li></ul>
<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">Qualifications and Education Requirements</h1>
<ul><li>Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills</li><li>
Basic understanding of supply chain processes</li><li>
Bachelors degree in a Supply Chain, Mathematics, Business, Finance or related field</li><li>
Proficient in Excel.</li><li>
Ability to compile information and make data driven recommendations</li><li>
Ability to visualize data through graphs or other presentations</li><li>
Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision</li><li>
Ability to work under pressure.</li></ul>
<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">Physical Requirements</h1>
<div><ul><li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li><li>
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times</li><li>
Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low</li></ul>

Qualifications preferred
<ul><li>
Associate degree in related field.</li></ul>
<ul><li>2+ years of experience in related role.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. .</li></ul>
<ul><li>Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Must be able to position self to maintain and operate equipment.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Heavy lifting is expected; exertion of up to 80 lbs. of force required.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Good manual dexterity for the use of equipment.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ability to regularly squat and return to standing without assistance.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ability to regularly ascend and descend stairs.</li></ul>
