Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Generates purchase orders for raw materials using MRP system, forecasting and input from other departments including Sales and R&D Lab

Generates production orders for finished goods using MRP system, forecasting and input from other departments including Sales and Production

Develop customer demand requirements using forecasting, MRP system and sales team input
-
Monitor a very dynamic supply chain to ensure that incoming raw material orders are arriving on time and in the appropriate quantity
-
Monitor existing production orders to ensure that their quantity and timing are appropriate to meet customer demands, Inventory targets and raw materials availability
-
Supports the procurement of goods and services by assisting with supplier research, preparing purchase orders, and maintaining procurement records

Work with cross-functional departments to understand their purchasing requirements and align them with procurement strategies
-
Research forecasted demand schedules of finished goods for upcoming raw material needs
-
Researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future buying trends
-
Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and make recommendations to acquire additional supplies as needed
-
Participates in or leads periodic forecasting/planning meetings with sales, customer service, production, and other related departments

Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution

Tracks product flow from origin to delivery via web-based logistics systems and other appropriate methods of monitoring inventory and shipment vehicles

Using analytical methods identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize supply chain efficiency while minimizing costs

Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, as directed

Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of management

Provides inventory reports, including reconciliation, as directed

Performs other related duties as requested.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Basic understanding of supply chain processes

Bachelors degree in a Supply Chain, Mathematics, Business, Finance or related field

Proficient in Excel.

Ability to compile information and make data driven recommendations
-
Ability to visualize data through graphs or other presentations
-
Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
-
Ability to work under pressure.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low
