The incumbent is responsible for sustaining an environment of intrinsic good will for the practice while providing optimum services to patients. This position serves as office supervisor and functions under the direction of the Department Manager, to supervise a large group of employees and provide accountability as delegated for the day-to-day operations of the designated clinic location(s).

Ability to efficiently use computer system applications for all functions required for this position, including electronic mail, spreadsheets, word processing, and medical office management, (i.e. scheduling, template maintenance, maintenance of demographic and insurance information). Administrative skills to oversee daily office operations; participate in development of policies, procedures and systems; handle facility, equipment and supply needs. Typing skills sufficient to use computer keyboard for timely and accurate input and production. Writing skills, using proper English grammar, spelling and punctuation, sufficient to compose messages and/or routine correspondence, which is clear, concise and easy to understand. Bookkeeping skills sufficient to maintain accurate records of patient financial transaction, prepare related financial reports, balance cash box, and prepare deposits.</li><li>
Knowledge of practices and protocols related to medical office procedures, (i.e. medical terminology, appointments, medical records, insurance verification, cashiering, billing, etc.) Filing skills to maintain logs and files of information in alphabetical, chronological and/or numerical order, such that it is current and easily retrievable. Knowledge of all pertinent laws, regulations, and guidelines governing medical records; confidentiality, privacy, and provision to others, including HIPAA.</li><li>
Knowledge of health care insurance systems, which may include Medi-Cal, MediCare, HMO, PPO, fee-for-service, county funded coverage, and workers&rsquo; compensation, sufficient to properly obtain and track authorizations, appoint patients, make referrals for consults, diagnostics and ancillary services, coordinate hospital services, complete and submit billing documentation, and explain provisions and requirements to patients. Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT and HCPCS coding sufficient to identify services performed; including diagnoses, procedures, and supplies.</li><li>
Ability to understand and follow industry process improvement methods in order to identify, plan, implement, and measure outcomes.</li></ul>

Department Overview
The patient contact center is responsible for more than 30% of all appointment and service engagements across the ambulator division. The supervisory role supports a particular team of agents and lead(s) to provide a high level of service to all patient inquiries as well as servicing the needs and guidelines as outlined by the departments served and existing and agreed upon processes.
This position is responsible for the direct supervision of 18-22 schedulers (PSR II) agents, and 2 PSR III leads with the Primary Care team. Providing monthly one-on-one meetings, HR and payroll related functions, performance management, and more. Within Primary Care, this role provides leadership support to four CPG clinics: Midtown, Midtown Commons, Elk Grove, and Carmichael. This support includes correcting errors, documenting clinical changes impacting appointment and service issues, as well as physician concerns. 
 
This role cross-supports the greater Primary Care team consisting of 76 agents and two other supervisors responsible for frequently updating workflows and training staff to policy and process changes for a dynamic Primary Care team of 107 physicians, 32 APP, and 117 Residents. The team completes approximately 760,000 patient telephone scheduling and service engagements as well as thousands of clinical work queue interactions per year.

Data Systems Analyst 4

<div><div>(Hybrid position 2- year contract) Marketing Specialist to work under the direction of Brand Marketing Manager within the Public Affairs &amp; Marketing Department of UC Davis Health. The incumbent will split time 50/50 between the UC Cell and Gene Therapy program and Department of Surgery: Fetal Care &amp; Treatment Center and CuRe trial (a joint program of The Center for Bioengineering in Medicine and the Fetal Care and Treatment Center). Incumbent&rsquo;s work will be specific to each group&rsquo;s needs including but not limited to: marketing plan development, webpage development (CMS work and writing), social media content (including video), paid media planning, production of marketing materials as needed (digital/social ads, print ads, brochures, PPT files, case studies, brochures and more). May support media relations efforts for national, science and trade audiences. Excellent oral and written skills required and a strong background in healthcare and/or health sciences is preferred. As part of the Public Affairs &amp; Marketing (PA&amp;M) Department and reporting to the Marketing team, develop and implement communications and marketing plans for departmental programs. Work will be specific to each program's needs including media relations (national, science, and trade), developing marketing plans for specific projects/programs, planning and maintaining web pages, developing social media content (including video, and including LinkedIn), facilitating the production of materials for clinical trial/patient recruitment, and other communications and marketing related deliverables as needed. The initial departmental assignments for this position will be a 50/50 split of time and work effort between the Department of Surgery&rsquo;s CuRE trial program and the Cell and Gene Therapy program. The CuRE trial is a joint program of The Center for Bioengineering in Medicine and the Fetal Care and Treatment Center. Work in this position requires extensive coordination with Public Affairs &amp; Marketing teammates and the departments served within the organization.

The incumbent will support and coordinate key components of clinical research projects from selection through activation and ongoing conduct. Department Overview
Internal Medicine is comprised of 12 Divisions, and this role will help to support four divisions with startup activities and research finance assistance.

This position is grant funded with a hybrid schedule and may require overtime or on-call as necessary. The duties within this position may be subject to change based on business need.

Work Environment
UC Davis is a smoke and tobacco free campus effective January 1, 2014.
