Joining our team means working in a dynamic environment where engineering creativity meets real-world applications.Compensation &amp; Schedule<ul><li>Pay Rate: $20/hour</li><li>Hours: ~24 hours per week</li><li>Shift Options: Flexible.</li><li>Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch (mandatory)</li><li>Payroll: Paid weekly</li><li>PTO: Not provided; interns are paid only for hours worked</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Location: On-site at Unilux</li><li>Commute: Must be able to commute</li><li>Reporting: Directly to Engineering Manager</li></ul>Training &amp; Development<ul><li>Hands-on experience in 3D design and prototyping using SolidWorks</li><li>Training provided in SolidWorks and other necessary tools</li><li>Other training will be provided</li></ul>ResponsibilitiesDesign &amp; Prototyping<ul><li>Assist with 3D modeling and prototyping using SolidWorks</li><li>Support mechanical and electronic prototyping</li><li>Create parametric designs</li><li>Test prototyped parts/products and record results</li></ul>3D Printing <ul><li>Set up and document 3D printing manufacturing</li><li>Maintain 3D printing station</li><li>Manufacture and test 3D-printed parts</li></ul>Engineering Support<ul><li>Assist with mechanical and electronics design updates</li><li>Help optimize product documentation and processes</li><li>Assist with sourcing new components</li><li>Assist with assembly of prototyped</li></ul>Documentation<ul><li>Participate in product and prototype testing</li><li>Create manufacturing and assembly drawings</li><li>Document improvements and engineering changes</li><li>Document new releases, new parts, updated BOMs in company ERP system</li><li>Create project reports</li></ul>Cross-Department Collaboration<ul><li>Support Service department</li><li>Engage with Inventory, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and other teams</li></ul>Tools &amp; Systems<ul><li>Use Jira, Teams, Outlook, and engineering databases</li><li>Learn SolidWorks via SolidProfessor training</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Attention to detail is a must</li><li>Ability to work independently</li><li>Curiosity and willingness to learn</li><li>Experience with 3D printing and design</li><li>Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar CAD software (development training provided)</li><li>Prior experience working on engineering or design projects is a plus</li><li>Working with power tools</li><li>Assembly</li><li>Soldering</li><li>Experience with Arduino and C++ is a plus</li></ul>Why Join Us?This internship offers real-world engineering experience, exposure to product development, and the opportunity to work on innovative projects in a collaborative environment.
