 Role Summary:
 
 
 
 AlphaSense is seeking multiple skilled transcript editors to join our team and contribute to the seamless conversion of recorded events (interviews, webcasts, phone calls, etc.), into accurate and organized transcripts for use by AlphaSense&rsquo;s clients. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional listening skills, solid English grammar skills, the ability to work quickly and efficiently while delivering a high quality product, and strong attention to detail. The role principally entails editing transcripts to match audio files verbatim, correctly identifying speaker names, product names, and numbers, as well as correcting grammar and punctuation, all within tight turnaround times.
 
 
 
 Roles &amp; Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Review, edit, and proofread transcripts for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to company standards and format.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify and correct errors, including grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting issues, and speaker and product identification.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure transcripts are contextually accurate and reflect industry-specific terminology when applicable, using in house custom dictionaries, or independent internet searches as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Organize, format, and deliver transcripts in the required format and within set deadlines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive content with discretion.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain steady focus to achieve best possible turnaround times.

 Candidate Requirements:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 The ideal candidate will have proven experience in transcription, editing, or a related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong listening skills and the ability to understand different accents, and audio qualities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, syntax, and punctuation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attention to detail and the ability to produce error-free work.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in using text editing and document formatting software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency with other tools such as instant messaging applications, Excel, email, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple editing projects at once.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with AI transcription tools would be a plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 Broad financial literacy and a general understanding of financial market concepts would be a plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of specific industries and companies (e.g., finance, tech, medical, biotech) and their terminologies would be a plus.

 Preferred Skills:

 Experience with transcription and/or editing calls, webcasts, or medical reports on a short timeline.

 Develop Industry-Relevant Curriculum: Help design and update the AI/ML curriculum to reflect current industry tools, techniques, and best practices, incorporating your professional experience and case studies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Mentor Student Projects: Guide students through hands-on AI/ML projects, providing technical direction, code reviews, and feedback based on industry standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Guide &amp; Mentor Students: Advise students on developing practical skills, understanding career paths in AI/ML, and preparing for internships and job placements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay Current: Bring the latest AI/ML research, tools, and industry trends into the classroom.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate: Work closely with other expert faculty and staff to create a unified and effective learning experience.

 Assess Practical Skills: Design and evaluate assignments, projects, and assessments focused on real-world applications.

 Required Qualifications &amp; Experience:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field. (PhD is valued but not mandatory.)
 </li>
 <li>
 3-7 years of direct, hands-on professional experience in the tech industry as an AI/ML Engineer, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, or similar role involving AI/ML development and deployment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven Industry Track Record: Demonstrated experience in building, training, and deploying machine learning models (including deep learning) for real-world problems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deep AI/ML Understanding: Strong grasp of core ML algorithms (classical &amp; deep learning CNNs, RNNs, Transformers), model evaluation, statistics, and awareness of current research/industry trends.
 </li>
 <li>
 Passion for Teaching/Mentoring: Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and guide others. Prior mentoring, corporate training, technical workshops, or project supervision experience is highly relevant. (Formal academic teaching experience is not mandatory.)
 </li>
