Position Title: Pre-Purchase Journey Doctor- Care Navigator

Company: Tatvacare

Working Hours: 9 hours/day, 6 days/week

Position Summary: The Pre-Purchase Journey Doctor plays a pivotal role in guiding patients through the initial stages of their care journey, before they commit to purchasing a care plan or service. Using the patient’s available test reports and clinical history, the doctor provides meaningful insights, clarifies doubts, and helps patients and caregivers make informed decisions. This role combines medical guidance with empathetic communication and decision support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Medical Review and Consultations:
• Review diagnostic test reports (e.g., histopathology, imaging, lab results) shared by patients.
• Explain the medical relevance of test results to patients and/or caregivers in a simple and understandable manner.
• Highlight possible treatment pathways based on report findings while remaining neutral and supportive.
• Patient Guidance and Decision Support:
• Provide clarity on the nature and stage of illness based on reports.
• Educate patients on potential next steps (e.g., further tests, need for oncologist consults, second opinions).
• Help patients understand the role and benefits of Tatvacare services (e.g., app-based support, service bundles) aligned to their clinical status.
• Personalized Plan Recommendations:
• Suggest appropriate care bundles, allied services, or navigation programs based on medical needs.
• Recommend a care approach tailored to their condition—curative, palliative, or supportive.
• Coordination and Documentation:
• Maintain detailed, structured documentation of each consultation and the guidance provided.
• Coordinate with care navigators and sales teams to ensure smooth patient handover post-consultation.
• Trust Building and Patient Readiness:
• Offer a reassuring and trustworthy consultation experience to help patients feel confident in their next steps.
• Address patient fears and misinformation regarding their diagnosis or treatment pathway.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• MBBS or BAMS/BHMS
• Experience interpreting lab and imaging reports and guiding patients (2+ years preferred).
• Exposure to patient counseling, virtual consultations, and early-stage oncology care preferred.
  
  
  

Skills:

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to explain complex medical issues simply.
• Excellent patient communication and empathy.
• Ability to build trust quickly in virtual/telephonic consults.
• Fluency in English and Hindi; additional regional languages are a plus.
• Strong documentation and coordination skills.
  
  
  

Ideal Profile:

• A clinician passionate about patient education and decision-making.
• Able to balance medical knowledge with soft skills to provide compassionate, non-judgmental support.
• Experience in cancer patient support, diagnostics consultation, or telemedicine.
