The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (also known as WIC) provides nutritious foods including low-fat/fat-free milk, whole grains, vegetables and fruits, breastfeeding support or formula to low income pregnant or breastfeeding women, infants and children up to age five.<br>

Minimum Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
High School Diploma required.</li><li>
0-1 direct years of experience working in a WIC Program highly preferred.</li><li>
Bilingual Spanish/English required.</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>
Ability to work with families &amp; Children.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Key Duties:</b></div><ul><li>
Determines categorical residential and income eligibility for participants.</li><li>
Completes on-site anthropometric and hematological screening when needed.</li><li>
Answers phones, schedules appointment, and other administrative support duties as assigned.</li><li>
Attends trainings and travels to other WIC sites when needed.</li><li>
Completes data entry into the NYWIC system.</li><li>
Supports the principles and guidelines of the WIC program.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:</b></div><div>
The Bronx, Hybrid, In office 3 days and 2 remote days changes based on department's scheduling needs, Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Wednesday &amp; Thursday 8am-6pm (rotating shift), Saturday 8:30am-1pm (rotating shift).</div><div></div><div><br>
Although the role is hybrid, incumbents should expect the first 2-3 months of training to occur fully onsite in the Bronx.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Starting Compensation:</b> Minimum: $35,000.00 yearly; Maximum: $35,000.00 yearly</div><div></div><div><b><br>

WIC Nutrition Assistant I - Bronx, NY

<div><div><b>Position Summary:</b></div><div>
The <b>Referrals Specialist I </b>is a position that specializes in patient information management for Urban Health Plan. Candidates must be familiar with medical terminology and processes related to insurance verification. The referrals specialists assists in managing Referrals received from the organization into the Referrals Department box.</div><div></div><div><br>
This position is hybrid- including both onsite and work-from-home weekly duties.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Minimum Qualifications</b></div><ul><li>
High School Diploma required.</li><li>
1-2 year of related experience in health care field with understanding of medical terminology and coding required.</li><li>
Comfortability working in an environment with high volume of calls.</li><li><b>
Bilingual Spanish/English required.</b></li><li>
Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li><li>

Key Duties:</b></div><ul><li>
Inputs high volume of patient information and ancillary referrals for appointments via phone and fax.</li><li>
Reviews patient information for type of specialty, referral reason, ICD-10 diagnosis, medications, etc. Maintains electronic platforms/EMRs, including an not limited to ECW, EPIC, and EQUIPO.</li><li>
Assists with managing reception calls and providing referral action steps.</li><li>
Seeks prior authorization from patient insurance carriers.</li><li>
Responds in a timely manner to patient requests for information and provides appropriate follow-up and timely scheduling.</li><li>
Ensures ongoing compliance with confidentiality standards.</li><li>
Contacts external specialists and makes appointments for the patient.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>

Referrals Specialist I- Hybrid- Bilingual English/Spanish

<div><div><b>Position Summary:</b></div><div>
As a member of the Dental Department, we are hiring <b>Dental Assistants </b>who will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the team. Dental Assistants will provide chairside support to Pediatric and General Dentistry and allow for our Dentists to provide efficient, high quality care to patients. They are responsible for providing hands-on support and completing prep work so Dentists can complete the required tasks at maximum speed and efficiency.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Minimum Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED Required.</li><li><b>
Dental Assistant Certificate required.</b></li><li>
0-1 years of related experience in a dental setting with four-handed dentistry preferred.</li><li><b>

Knowledge of Dental Software and EHR (e.g. Dentrix), highly desired.</li><li>
