Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role requires proficiency in various medical software systems, strong communication skills, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and coding. The Medical Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.</li><li>Manage multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments, and handling inquiries.</li><li>Verify insurance information and perform insurance verification for patients.</li><li>Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.</li><li>Process medical collections and manage billing inquiries.</li><li>Utilize EMR systems such as Epic or similar for patient data management.</li><li>Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including CPT coding and ICD-10.</li><li>Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing correspondence.</li><li>Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with medical terminology, coding (CPT, ICD), and health information management is essential.</li><li>Experience with EHR systems</li><li>Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication.</li><li>Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and typing accuracy are required.</li><li>Prior experience in medical billing, office management, or customer service within a clinical environment is beneficial.
