Abilities Required:<ul><li>Must be proficient with computers</li><li>Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally both in the spoken and written word</li><li>Strong ability to work as a team as independently</li><li>Must possess organizational, planning, information gathering, information monitoring, problem analysis and problem-solving skills</li><li>Must possess judgment and decision-making ability, initiative, confidentiality, and attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Must have Associates or Bachelors Degree</li><li>Valid NYS Drivers License</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Complete pre-screens on all Veterans that seek assistance.</li><li>Conduct community outreach</li><li>Work with other agencies to ensure Veterans in need are being reached.</li><li>Compile data for monthly reports</li><li>Complete and file all applicable reports provide direct client services</li><li>Perform eligibility assessments to determine that Veterans are eligible for SSVF Assistance determined by the CNYVOC, that the Veteran is homeless or at imminent risk.</li><li>Provide holistic and comprehensive case management services to all clients, with a strong focus on SSVF tenants: including intake assessment, benefit assessment, goal setting, long &ndash;term case management, tenant education, advocacy, and referrals.</li><li>Assist the Housing Director with the maintenance of the housing binders, tenant leases, and other paperwork</li><li>Assist the Housing Director in monthly housing inspections</li><li>Identify opportunities for collaborative ventures with local apartment complexes, rental agencies, and owners of rental houses to begin the process of finding local affordable housing for Veterans.</li><li>Ensures all applicable regulations and guidelines are followed before requesting approval for assistance.</li><li>Connect families with needed and available community resources. Follow-up with clients and agencies as appropriate to document use/success of referral.</li><li>Help all Veterans and their families that are in need.</li><li>Attend community-based meetings when needed.</li><li>Work closely with the VA, DOL and any other government agencies and community agencies as needed.</li><li>Complete SOAR applications for eligible clients</li><li>Input HMIS data</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
