External Lighting EngineerLondon£43,000We are seeking an External Lighting Engineer to join our Electrical Contractor clients. The role is based in London and comes with a salary of £43,000. The role involves installation, maintenance, and servicing of street lighting infrastructure-including lighting columns, feeder pillars, illuminated signage, bollards, and external lighting systems-primarily within the social housing and local authority sectors.Responsibilities for External Lighting Engineer<ul> <li>Interpret underground cable drawings and specifications for lighting installations</li><li>Install, maintain, and repair street lighting furniture and external lighting systems</li><li>Conduct groundworks including trenching, ducting, and fault excavation</li><li>Diagnose underground faults using CAT/Genny and technical drawings</li><li>Perform routine visual and electrical inspections</li><li>Ensure compliance with BS 7671 regulations and health & safety standards</li><li>Accurately complete job reports and documentation</li><li>Attend training sessions and participate in performance reviews</li><li>Collaborate with office staff and supervisors to resolve queries</li></ul> Requirements for External Lighting Engineer<ul> <li>Strong knowledge of the street lighting industry</li><li>Proven experience in installation and maintenance of lighting systems</li><li>Familiarity with electrical safety standards and legislation</li><li>Competent in using mobile devices for job reporting and certification</li><li>Excellent communication and organisational skills</li></ul> <ul> <li>Responsible, proactive, and safety-conscious</li><li>City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (essential)</li><li>GS39, IPAF, NRSWA (desirable)</li><li>Full UK driving licence</li></ul> If you are interested in this role, wish to apply, would like more information or have any questions then please send us a copy of your CV.Ross Utilise Recruitment <img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?vX6ucqYYTOZ4H3Qpew8000iVMkKw%2fgbvv" width="0" height="0" />
