Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality electrical solutions, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities<ul><li>Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations.</li><li>Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper wiring and safety procedures are followed according to NEC standards.</li><li>Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively.</li><li>Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes.</li><li>Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical work with framing carpentry and other trades on construction sites.</li><li>Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety and compliance with all relevant codes.</li><li>Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports and inspection logs.</li><li>Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents on site; demonstrate handyman skills for minor repairs when needed.</li><li>Assist in schematic reading for complex electrical layouts involving high voltage systems or renovation projects.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized by local authorities.</li><li>Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician working on construction sites or renovation projects.</li><li>Strong knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical code compliance.</li><li>Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and schematics troubleshooting.</li><li>Proficiency with hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools including drills and saws; testing instruments like ohmmeters.</li><li>Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely.</li><li>Experience working on construction sites with framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality assurance.</li><li>Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across various trades.
