In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper wiring and safety procedures are followed according to NEC standards.
• Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
• Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes.
• Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical work with framing carpentry and other trades on construction sites.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety and compliance with all relevant codes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports and inspection logs.
• Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents on site; demonstrate handyman skills for minor repairs when needed.
• Assist in schematic reading for complex electrical layouts involving high voltage systems or renovation projects.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized by local authorities.
• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician working on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical code compliance.
• Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and schematics troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools including drills and saws; testing instruments like ohmmeters.
• Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely.
• Experience working on construction sites with framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality assurance.
