Job Summary:</b></p>
<p>
We are looking for a <b>Resident Buyer &ndash; Jewellery</b> who will play a critical role in sourcing, curating, and delivering jewellery collections tailored for live <b>TV shopping, ecommerce platforms, and social commerce. </b>The role requires strong trend awareness, vendor engagement, and commercial acumen to ensure innovative yet profitable product offerings. The <b>Resident Buyer</b> will work closely with <b>design, merchandising, and marketing teams</b> to create compelling product assortments that resonate with diverse customer segments.</p><br>
<p><b>
Core Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Source, evaluate, and select jewellery collections aligned with customer preferences, seasonal trends, and channel strategy</li>
<li>Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with vendors to achieve target margins and business objectives</li>
<li>Analyze sales, inventory, and customer insights to plan assortments and make reordering or markdown decisions</li>
<li>Collaborate with product development, design, and quality assurance to ensure compliance with style, quality, and pricing standards</li>
<li>Coordinate product storytelling and presentation with merchandising, marketing, and live show teams to maximize on-air and online impact</li>
<li>Own purchase order and open-to-buy processes, ensuring accurate planning and timely product availability</li>
<li>Monitor product and vendor performance, recommending strategic adjustments to maximize profitability and minimize risk</li>
<li>Explore global market trends to identify innovative jewellery designs and new vendor partnerships.</li></ul><br>

<b>Qualifications &amp; Experience</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong knowledge of jewellery categories (precious, semi-precious, fashion jewellery) and consumer buying behavior</li>
<li>Familiarity with retail math concepts: margins, costing, open-to-buy, KPIs, and markdown strategies</li>
<li>Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills</li>
<li>Proficiency in Excel and presentation tools; experience with ERP or merchandising systems preferred</li>
