In this vital role, you&rsquo;ll support the accounting department by assisting with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring our financial records are precise, organized, and compliant with industry standards. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the overall success of our organization.Duties:<ul><li>Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger accounts through data entry and account reconciliation using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.</li><li>Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper debits and credits are recorded in accordance with GAAP.</li><li>Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions by verifying invoices, processing payments, and managing billing records.</li><li>Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all financial data aligns accurately across systems.</li><li>Assist with payroll processing and related tax compliance tasks to ensure timely and accurate employee payments as needed.</li><li>Help prepare financial reports by gathering data, analyzing account activity, and writing summaries for management review</li><li>Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and assisting with financial analysis for departmental or organizational budgets.</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar platforms</li><li>Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger accounting principles</li><li>Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and balance sheet reconciliation</li><li>Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental or non-profit accounting practices is a plus</li><li>Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including payroll processing, tax experience, and financial report writing</li><li>Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks</li><li>Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate financial records</li><li>Basic understanding of budgeting processes and financial concepts to support organizational planning efforts</li></ul>Benefits &amp; Perks:<ul><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance</li><li>401(k)</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Short-Term and Long-Term Disability</li><li>Legal and ID Theft Protection</li><li>Pet Insurance</li><li>Accident Insurance</li><li>Critical Illness Insurance</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement and paid training</li></ul>Equal opportunity employment:There's one more, very important thing.
