As the first point of contact for patients, you will be an essential representative of our practice&mdash;creating a welcoming environment while managing a high-volume, fast-paced front desk.Position OverviewWe are looking for friendly, professional, and detail-oriented individuals who can manage a variety of front office duties with confidence and grace. This role requires extensive experience in insurance verification, multi-line phone systems, and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR). You will greet and check-in patients, verify insurance and referrals, collect financial responsibilities, and assist with scheduling imaging, procedures, and follow-ups.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide a warm, professional welcome to all patients and visitors</li><li>Check-in/check-out patients for appointments, diagnostic imaging, and procedures</li><li>Verify insurance eligibility and coverage using various portals and tools</li><li>Collect copayments, deductibles, and out-of-pocket financial responsibilities</li><li>Assist in verifying referrals and authorizations</li><li>Assist in multi-line phone system efficiently and courteously</li><li>Schedule and reschedule appointments across multiple locations</li><li>Input and update patient records in the EMR/EHR system with high accuracy</li><li>Communicate clearly with clinical and administrative staff regarding patient flow and needs</li><li>Serve as an information hub for patients regarding appointments, services, and expectations</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>BILINGUAL ONLY APPLY</li><li>High-volume medical receptionist experience (minimum 2 years preferred)</li><li>Proficiency in insurance verification, authorization, and referral management</li><li>Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems (ALLSCRIPTS/VERADIGM) and insurance portals (Athena, Availity, or similar)</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Confident handling of multi-line phones in a busy office setting</li><li>Friendly and professional demeanor&mdash;a beacon of hospitality and care</li><li>Ability to collect, record, and reconcile patient financials accurately</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-provider medical practice</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent (additional training/certifications are a plus)</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive compensation based on experience</li><li>Full-time schedule with paid time off (PTO)</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance options</li><li>401(k) with employer matching</li><li>Travel/toll reimbursement where applicable</li><li>Opportunity to be part of a dynamic and respected vascular surgery team</li><li>Supportive, team-oriented environment with room for growth</li></ul>Location &amp; Schedule<ul><li>Hiring for one full-time position:</li><li>Riverview</li><li>Full-time: 40 hours/week (Monday&ndash;Friday)</li><li>In-person only</li></ul>About UsThe Vein &amp; Vascular Institute of Tampa Bay is proud to be a leader in comprehensive vascular care.
