Today, Vertex Logistics continues to offer efficient and dependable logistics facilitation across domestic and international markets.Business Development/Sales OfficerCore Responsibilities<ul><li>Business Development: Proactively identify and acquire new business opportunities for import/export freight services (air, sea, road) through cold calling, networking, and lead generation.</li><li>Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with commercial and corporate importers to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.</li><li>Quotation &amp; Proposal Management: Quote to customersoften collaborating with pricing teams.</li><li>Negotiation: Negotiate pricing with both clients and carriers (shipping lines/airlines/Agents) to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs.</li><li>Operations Coordination: Work closely with internal operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless shipment handling and resolution of transit issues.</li><li>Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adjust sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.</li><li>Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records in systems and report on performance metrics (KPIs) against monthly and quarterly targets.</li><li>Recovery: Ensure timely recovery of payments from customers strictly following credit terms.</li><li>Required Qualifications &amp; Skills</li><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.</li><li>Experience:</li></ul>o Entry-level: 1&ndash;3 years of sales experience in the freight forwarding industry.o Managerial: 5+ years of experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.<ul><li>Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and import/export documentation.</li><li>Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills; self-motivated and target-oriented.</li></ul>Standard Benefits &amp; Compensation<ul><li>Salary: (varying by region and experience).</li><li>Incentives: Performance-based commissions</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
