Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Veterans Cove Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for veterans and customer service, creating memorable experiences for our members and guests. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring that all patrons receive exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.</li><li>Maintain an organized bar area, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.</li><li>Engage with members, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink selections.</li><li>Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.</li><li>Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels to place orders as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with kitchen members to coordinate food service during special events.</li><li>Promote special events or drink promotions to enhance sales and customer engagement.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all local laws regarding alcohol service, including checking identification for age verification.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous bartending experience is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Clover POS system is a plus but not required; training will be provided.</li><li>Knowledge of food handling practices is essential to ensure safety and quality standards are met.</li><li>Proficiency in retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.</li></ul>Join our team and bring your passion for bartending to life while providing an outstanding experience for our guests!Job Type: Part-timePay: From $8.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Paid training</li></ul>Shift:<ul><li>Day shift</li><li>Evening shift</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>New Baltimore, MI 48047 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
