Bartender/Server

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Veterans Cove Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for veterans and customer service, creating memorable experiences for our members and guests. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring that all patrons receive exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain an organized bar area, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Engage with members, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink selections.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels to place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen members to coordinate food service during special events.
• Promote special events or drink promotions to enhance sales and customer engagement.
• Ensure compliance with all local laws regarding alcohol service, including checking identification for age verification.

Experience

• Previous bartending experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Clover POS system is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of food handling practices is essential to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Proficiency in retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
