Inside Sales / Estimator &ndash; Viking Distribution (East Providence, RI)Position Summary Viking Distribution is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Inside Sales / Estimator to join our team. This is a key role as a inside sales/estimator supporting the sales process with accurate estimates, product knowledge, and exceptional customer service. You&rsquo;ll work directly alongside the company&rsquo;s owners, giving you unique insight into operations and long-term growth opportunities. If you have specific experience in any of our product categories, you may be a candidate.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Inside sales/estimator</li><li>Prepare detailed and accurate estimates and material take-offs for building products including:</li><li>Windows &amp; Doors</li><li>Roofing</li><li>Siding</li><li>Decking/Railing</li><li>Cabinetry</li><li>Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.</li><li>Manage order entry, generate quotes, and coordinate order fulfillment.</li><li>Maintain strong product knowledge of key exterior product lines and stay updated on industry trends.</li><li>Work closely with contractors, builders, and homeowners to recommend the best solutions based on project needs.</li><li>Utilize technology including CRM systems, estimating software, and Excel to streamline quoting and tracking.</li><li>Provide clear and professional communication across internal teams and external clients.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve processes and support business growth.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Previous experience in building materials sales, estimating, or construction.</li><li>Strong knowledge of any of our product offering such as windows, doors, roofing, siding, decking, railing, cabinetry and more.</li><li>Proficient in reading architectural drawings and material lists.</li><li>Tech-savvy&mdash;comfortable using estimating tools, CRM software, Microsoft Excel, and digital catalogs.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills&mdash;able to explain technical details clearly.</li><li>Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset&mdash;ready to work closely with ownership.</li><li>Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow within the company.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>A clear path for advancement as we continue to grow.</li><li>A supportive, team-oriented environment where your ideas matter.</li><li>Competitive salary based on experience as a inside sales/estimator</li><li>Bonuses or incentives based on performance</li><li>Paid Holidays, Sick time, Vacation, 401k, healthcare</li></ul>Why Viking Distribution?At Viking Distribution, we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier service and expertise in building products.
