This is an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about accounting, eager to mentor others, and ready to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative environment.&lt;Responsibilities&gt;<ul><li>Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.</li><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and vendor communications.</li><li>Conduct bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records.</li><li>Perform balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing activities.</li><li>Support internal audits by providing documentation, assisting with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance efforts, and ensuring proper internal controls are followed.</li><li>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial report writing to inform strategic decision-making.</li><li>Mentor junior team members on technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits &amp; credits, and the use of accounting software like Sage or Xero.</li></ul>&lt;Requirements&gt;<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.</li><li>Proven experience in financial accounting within corporate or non-profit sectors; experience with governmental accounting is a plus.</li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP, securities law, regulatory reporting standards, and technical accounting principles.</li><li>Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; proficiency in financial software is essential.</li><li>Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is advantageous.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed reports.</li><li>Demonstrated mentoring ability to support team development and knowledge sharing.
