<Responsibilities>
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and vendor communications.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support internal audits by providing documentation, assisting with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance efforts, and ensuring proper internal controls are followed.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial report writing to inform strategic decision-making.
- Mentor junior team members on technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and the use of accounting software like Sage or Xero.
<Requirements>
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in financial accounting within corporate or non-profit sectors; experience with governmental accounting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, securities law, regulatory reporting standards, and technical accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; proficiency in financial software is essential.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed reports.

Pay: $24.86 - $29.94 per hour
