Job Overview Viola's Ice Cream Social is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista/Ice Cream Associate to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for guests, preparing and serving a variety of ice cream treats, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong multitasking skills, and a friendly demeanor.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream desserts and espresso drinks with attention to presentation and quality.</li><li>Operate Clover POS system efficiently for order processing and accurately collect payments.</li><li>Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.</li><li>Manage food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with food safety regulations.</li><li>Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and ensuring product freshness.</li><li>Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Experience as a barista or in coffee service is preferred; familiarity with caf&eacute; operations is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of POS Clover system for efficient transaction processing.</li><li>Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods effectively.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.</li><li>Food safety knowledge including proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures.</li><li>Previous experience in food service or retail environments is advantageous.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
