Ice Cream/Barista Associate

Job Overview
Viola's Ice Cream Social is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista/Ice Cream Associate to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for guests, preparing and serving a variety of ice cream treats, and ensuring excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream desserts and espresso drinks with attention to presentation and quality.
• Operate Clover POS system efficiently for order processing and accurately collect payments.
• Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
• Manage food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and ensuring product freshness.
• Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

Skills

• Experience as a barista or in coffee service is preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus.
• Knowledge of POS Clover system for efficient transaction processing.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Food safety knowledge including proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures.
• Previous experience in food service or retail environments is advantageous.
