1. Clinical Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive eye examinations</li><li>Perform refraction and prescribe corrective lenses</li><li>Detect visual problems such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia</li><li>Identify early signs of eye diseases (e.g., glaucoma, cataract, macular degeneration)</li><li>Prescribe and fit contact lenses</li><li>Provide post-fitting follow-ups and adjustments</li><li>Refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary</li></ul>2. Customer Care &amp; Consultation<ul><li>Explain prescription results clearly to customers</li><li>Guide customers in selecting suitable lenses (single vision, bifocal, progressive, blue-light filtering, etc.)</li><li>Provide advice on frame selection based on face shape, prescription, and lifestyle</li><li>Educate customers on lens care and eye health</li></ul>3. Retail &amp; Sales Support<ul><li>Collaborate with sales staff to enhance customer experience</li><li>Support achieving store sales targets through professional recommendations</li><li>Promote premium lens options and coatings</li><li>Maintain strong product knowledge (frames, lenses, brands, pricing)</li></ul>4. Store &amp; Operational Duties<ul><li>Maintain patient records and documentation</li><li>Ensure compliance with local optical regulations</li><li>Manage appointment schedules</li><li>Supervise optical assistants or technicians (if applicable)</li><li>Ensure calibration and maintenance of optometry equipment</li></ul>5. Skills Required<ul><li>Strong clinical knowledge of optometry</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Sales awareness and customer-oriented mindset</li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment</li></ul>6. Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or Doctor of Optometry (OD), depending on country regulations</li><li>Valid professional license/registration</li><li>Experience in retail optical practice (preferred)</li></ul>7.
