You'll be on location capturing footage for commercial projects, property walkthroughs, business profiles, and promotional content. You're not pointing a camera and pressing record. You're crafting visual stories that make businesses look cinematic.If you've ever watched a 30-second commercial and thought &quot;I could shoot that better,&quot; we want to talk to you.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Shooting cinematic-quality video on location throughout the greater Seattle area- Capturing commercial content for businesses in construction, real estate, and related industries- Operating camera, lighting, and audio equipment to produce broadcast-ready footage- Planning shots, setting up scenes, and managing on-site logistics independently- Collaborating with our team on creative direction, shot lists, and project goals- Delivering organized, properly labeled footage ready for post-production- Maintaining and transporting your own gear to shoot locations (mileage and equipment use are compensated)WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWe need someone who lives and breathes video. This isn't a beginner position, but it's also not a &quot;set it and forget it&quot; role. Even experienced shooters will go through our onboarding process so your work matches the quality and style our clients expect.Must-Haves:- 2+ years of professional videography experience with a portfolio that proves it- Proficiency with cinema cameras (Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, RED, or equivalent)- Strong understanding of composition, lighting (natural and artificial), and camera movement- Own reliable camera gear suitable for commercial shoots (body, lenses, stabilizer, audio)- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to reach shoot locations across the Seattle metro area- Based in the greater Seattle area or willing to commute to shoots locally- Clear, professional communication. You'll be representing Vourly on-site with clients- Comfortable working independently on location while following creative briefsNice-to-Haves:- Experience shooting real estate, construction, or commercial/industrial environments- Drone operation experience (FAA Part 107 certified is a major plus)- Video editing skills (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar). If you can shoot AND edit, you'll stand out- Experience with color science, LUTs, and shooting in LOG profiles- Motion graphics or After Effects knowledge- Experience working with direct-response advertising or content that needs to convertABOUT THE ROLE- Pay: $30 - $35/hour based on experience- Type: Part-time to start (15-25 hours/week), with ability to scale to full-time as projects grow- Location: On-site throughout the greater Seattle area. We're looking for a skilled video editor to own the post-production process and help us produce content that stands out in a crowded market.THE ROLEThis is a hybrid position based in the Seattle area. You'll work in-office for collaboration, onboarding, and review sessions, with the flexibility to work from home once you've proven you can deliver consistently and stay productive. This isn't a fully remote gig from day one. We need someone local who can sit down with our team, review footage together, and build a real working relationship before transitioning to a more flexible setup.If you get genuinely excited about making a 30-second ad feel like a movie trailer, keep reading.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Editing short-form video ads (15-60 seconds) and longer commercial content for social media and paid advertising- Creating cinematic-quality edits with strong pacing, color grading, motion graphics, and sound design- Writing and syncing captions/subtitles with zero errors. Spelling, grammar, and timing must be flawless- Editing real estate walkthroughs, construction progress videos, and business profile content- Collaborating closely with our videographers and team on creative direction, revisions, and feedback- Turning around edits quickly without sacrificing quality- Using AI tools (CapCut, Runway, Descript, or similar) to accelerate your workflow and improve output quality- Organizing and managing project files, footage libraries, and deliverablesWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWe need someone who is genuinely passionate about editing. Not someone who applies to every job posting. You should care about the difference between a good cut and a great one.Must-Haves:- 2+ years of video editing experience with a strong portfolio (commercial, short-form, or ad work preferred)- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or equivalent professional NLE- Strong color grading skills. You should know your way around scopes, LUTs, and color correction workflows- Experience with AI-assisted editing tools and workflows. We don't want someone who &quot;knows about&quot; AI. We want someone who actively uses it to caption, color grade, generate assets, or enhance edits- Obsessive attention to detail, especially with captions and text overlays. If there's a typo, we'll catch it. If there's a timing mismatch, we'll catch it. This role requires precision- Clear, professional communication. You'll be working closely with our team daily- Based in the greater Seattle area.
