This position will act as a liaison between purchasing, contracting, and production.B. Responsibilities:&middot; Primary individual responsible for all corporate purchasing activities.&middot; As directed, establish relationships with qualified vendors for the procurement of appropriate qualified materiel, parts and supplies.&middot; As directed, establish relationships with current and new vendors for outsourcing processes.&middot; To support internal and external customers.&middot; Oversee throughput of demand requirements.&middot; Coordinate outside service process.&middot; Inventory management/controls.C. Key Tasks:&middot; Initiate and follow-up Purchase Order actions.&middot; Initiate and follow-up Requisition Orders to vendors for outsourced processes.&middot; In conjunction with other company personnel, maintain controls for inventory, spares and rotable assets.&middot; Provide support for the other logistics functions as needed.&middot; Demand Planning: supporting part sales, manufacturing, and repair/overhaul.&middot; Analyze bills of materials, stock levels, and demand requirements.&middot; Plan and schedule released product to outside service process as required.&middot; Monitor progress on production completion dates and coordinate with contracting to ensure that proper work priorities are established.&middot; Communicate and analyze demand report with MAA Buyer.&middot; Create manufacturing orders to distribute to MAA stores to initiate production.D. Organizational Relationships:The Purchasing Agent/Logistics Planner reports to the Logistics Manager.E. Essential Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Possess organizational skills to identify, plan and project inventory levels to meet requirements.</li><li>Ability to apply organizational skills in a daily environment requiring multi-tasking responsibilities.</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of materials and requirements planning tools, as well as planning and purchasing policies is necessary.</li><li>Ability to produce timely, accurate work to meet rigid schedules. Also, must understand the use of lead times.</li><li>Effective communication skills, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Possesses computer skills, knowledge of word processing and database management.</li></ul>F. Typical Education and Experience Requirements:<ul><li>0Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business and 2 years as a Planner or related experience in materials or sourcing, or,</li><li>Associate degree in business, 3 years as a Planner or related experience in materials or sourcing.</li></ul>G.
